01 What is PLA?
Most biodegradable bags are made from PLA (polylactic acid) plastic. PLA is a bioplastic material made from renewable resources such as corn and sugar. Exactly how long a biodegradable bag takes to break down depends on various factors,such as temperature and the amount of moisture present.The compostable bags will biodegrade within 30 days in a commercial composting facility, and within 90 days in a home composting system.
